Over the past decade we have seen a shift towards activity-based working, with workers benefiting from areas they can decamp depending on the job in hand. Formal meeting spaces include meeting rooms and conference rooms and are usually part of the office where important or confidential gatherings take place. They can be enclosed, private or collaborative spaces but must ensure the facilities are effective for the tasks that need to be completed.
Although office design has moved on greatly along with the way we work, individual workspaces are still a necessity that allows for uninterrupted, concentrated tasks.
Individual workspaces could be your own desk, cellular booths or cubicle partitions, but the most important factor is that you create workspaces that enable people to complete tricky or complex tasks without disturbance.
