Katie Delve, B2B Manager at leading East Midlands based commercial fit-out specialist Butler + Willow, recently completed the challenge of climbing the highest peak in Africa and raised over £1,250 for Mind along the way.
Butler + Willow is passionate about improving mental health in the workplace, and so Mind was an obvious choice for the charity of the year. The team have been taking part in events throughout the year to raise funds for the charity, but the Kilimanjaro trek is the single biggest activity undertaken.
Katie Delve commented, “I’m so proud to say I made it to the roof of Africa, and raised an incredible amount of money for a really great cause at the same time. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro was the most amazing experience and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to do it. Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me and supported me in taking on this challenge.”
James Willow, Managing Director of Butler + Willow concluded, “We are passionate about people and devoted to helping improve mental wellbeing through the creation of exciting and engaging workspaces. We selected Mind as our charity of the year as we practice what we preach and want to make a difference to as many people’s mental health as possible. We’re incredibly proud of Katie’s achievements, both in climbing the mountain, and raising a significant amount for a fantastic charity”.
